The Hayxo Custom Lightning Volleyball Jersey in Navy, Thunder Blue & Black is a made-to-order women, girls, unisex, and youth volleyball kit with a full-body lightning print running edge to edge across the build. The pattern stacks branching lightning-bolt strikes (jagged main trunks with spreading side veins), atmospheric cloud-glow backgrounds, and fine afterflash lines that radiate from each main strike. The print scales across the chest, sleeves, side panels, and back as one continuous storm-sky design. Black holds the deep night-sky base. Navy carries the cloud mass. Thunder-blue navy lights the bolt cores and electric afterflash. The fit is athletic-cut for clean range of motion when you load for an outside swing.
Order with personalized name, number, team logo, and roster details. Sublimated print on 100% polyester moisture-wicking fabric, no minimum order, ships ready-to-play. Built for indoor club, beach, school, and rec-league volleyball.

This is the Catatumbo storm palette. There is one square mile of sky on Earth that produces more lightning than anywhere else, and it sits over the mouth of the Catatumbo River in northwestern Venezuela, where the river empties into Lake Maracaibo. The storm cycle runs roughly 140 to 160 nights a year, peaks at around 28 strikes per minute, and has been doing this for so long that Wayuu indigenous communities called the phenomenon a rib of fire in the sky long before NASA confirmed in 2014 that no other location on the planet matches its lightning concentration.
Spanish-speaking sailors had a different name for it. They called the storms the Faro de Maracaibo, the Lighthouse of Maracaibo, because they used the lightning as a navigational beacon for centuries. The visible color story when you stand under a Catatumbo storm is exactly the three notes printed on this jersey. The night sky reads pure black. The cloud mass over the lake reads as a deep navy that absorbs every other color. The bolts themselves and the cloud-flash that follows them read as that bright thunder-blue, the kind of blue you only see when an electrical pulse lights up moisture from the inside. The pattern on this kit is a still frame from the world's most active lightning storm.
Lightning patterns in the Hayxo lineup are full-coverage storm-effect prints. The pattern combines three visual elements stacked in depth: a dark cloud-and-sky base layer, branching lightning strikes with jagged main trunks and spreading side veins, and the afterflash glow that lifts off each strike and softens outward into the surrounding sky. The print runs continuously across the chest, sleeves, side panels, and back as one connected storm scene rather than a front-only graphic.
On this colorway, the lightning system runs three jobs. Black holds the deep night-sky base where the storm operates. Navy carries the cloud mass, the heavy atmospheric layer that lightning travels through and lights up from within. Thunder blue runs the bolt cores themselves, the bright reactive electric blue that real lightning shows in moisture-rich air, with the same color softening outward as afterflash where each strike fades into the surrounding cloud. The eye reads the result as one moment of storm captured at full contrast, with weight, atmosphere, and electricity stacked on top of each other.
100% interlock polyester, knit at a weight that holds shape through full-court diving without pilling. Four-way stretch lets you reach for an over-the-net block without the side panels riding up. Moisture-wicking pulls sweat to the outside fibers, where it evaporates instead of pooling against your skin.
Athletic-fit silhouette: contoured side seams for the women/girls cut, straighter through the torso for unisex/youth
Standard volleyball-length hem: sits at the hip bone, tucks cleanly into spandex shorts
Cap-sleeve or sleeveless options at order: cap reads classic, sleeveless reads competitive
Reinforced shoulder seams: where the strap of a roller bag rides on travel days
Flatlock stitching at the underarm and side seam: no chafe during long warm-up serves
Full-dye sublimation bonds ink directly into the polyester fibers. The lightning pattern, your name, your number, and your team logo all become part of the fabric instead of sitting on top of it. There is no screen-print layer to crack. There is no patch to peel. After 200 wash cycles the print looks the same as the day it shipped, which is why college club teams keep ordering the same kit shape year after year.

Your artwork gets mirror-printed on transfer paper using sublimation ink.
The transfer paper meets the polyester jersey panel inside a heat press at roughly 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Heat turns the ink directly into gas, skipping liquid entirely.
The gas bonds permanently into the polyester fibers, becoming part of the fabric structure.
Panels are then cut and sewn into the finished jersey, so the print continues across every seam.
The result is a jersey where the design cannot crack, peel, fade, or wash out, because there is no separate ink layer on top of the fabric to fail. The color and the polyester are the same physical material.

Lightning is the most three-dimensional of the pattern families. Lines is purely linear and architectural. Lines-and-dots layers two flat marks in a coded rhythm. Splatter is loose paint dispersion. Lightning stacks atmospheric depth: a sky base, branching strike trunks with spreading veins, and a soft afterflash glow that pulls light off each bolt. The eye reads it as a scene in space rather than a flat surface design.
No. The bolt geometry is calibrated against real lightning photography reference, with branching ratios and angle distributions that match natural strike behavior. Cartoon lightning uses sharp simplified zigzags. Real lightning forks and re-forks at fractal angles, with spreading side veins that taper finer as they extend. This pattern is built on the second logic, not the first, which is why it photographs more dramatic on game day.
Yes, this palette and pattern are popular with schools and clubs that carry storm-related mascot identities (Lightning, Thunder, Storm, Hurricanes, Cyclones, Tempest, Bolts, Strike, Flash, and Surge). The print uses the visual language of an actual storm without infringing any specific licensed mascot or pro team graphic. We can integrate your school crest or club mark into the chest design once you send your trademark-cleared file.
Thunder blue runs slightly more saturated than standard navy and very close to Pantone Classic Blue 19-4052, the 2020 Color of the Year. Royal blue reads brighter and lighter. If your school or club brand book specifies an exact Pantone, we can adjust to PMS 282, 281, or 19-4052. Side by side with royal, thunder blue sits noticeably deeper and reads more dramatic against a black base.
Standard sublimation thunder blue does not have the phosphorescent reaction that neon green or neon yellow shows under UV black light. The bolt cores remain bright against the dark base under standard gym lighting and stadium LEDs, which is what most teams want. If you specifically need a black-light glow effect on the bolt cores, we can sub in a UV-reactive electric blue at the mockup stage.
There are no white panels on the kit. The brightest visible color is thunder blue, which is significantly more stain-tolerant than white in beach and outdoor play. The sublimation print itself does not absorb stains the way screen-print or vinyl logos would. Standard cold-wash maintenance brings the kit back to clean.
The bolts are calibrated to follow the contour of the fabric across the bust, the side seam, and the shoulder. Bolt thickness and angle stay visually consistent across the silhouette because the pre-press team adjusts the print scale per panel. Side-seam bolt continuity is one of the things we check during mockup approval.
Yes. The libero rule requires a clearly contrasting jersey from the rest of the roster. We commonly run the libero in a flipped palette where thunder blue becomes the dominant body, navy moves to the cloud mass, and the bolt cores switch to bright white. Same lightning pattern, same fabric, fully compliant with USAV and FIVB libero contrast rules.
Yes, it meets NFHS uniform requirements for body color, number contrast, and jersey-libero rules. Number height (six inch front, eight inch back) and color contrast are configured at the mockup stage so you do not have to verify against the rule book yourself.
Yes. Lightning pattern volleyball jerseys are available in additional color stories on request. Common alternates include black with neon-yellow bolts, purple with electric-blue bolts, and crimson with white bolts. If you have a palette in mind we have not posted, send the brand colors and we will mock the lightning pattern in your exact hex values.
Absolutely. There is no minimum order. Whole rosters are welcome, but solo orders for tournament-specific kits, alumni reunion squads, and senior-night specials are common. Single-piece orders ship at the same standard production speed.
We only print artwork you own or are licensed to use. Pro team logos (including pro hockey, NBA, and NFL teams that use lightning iconography), college trademarks, and copyrighted character art cannot be reproduced. Original team marks, school crests with district approval, and your own custom designs are all welcome and shipped without licensing concerns.
